SWIFT AID: Taylor to donate $1M to help Louisiana after devastating floods

The pop star announced Tuesday that she's donating $1 million to help those affected by the catastrophic flooding in Louisiana.

"We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home," she said in a statement.

"The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking," she continued.

At least 11 people were killed and thousands more were affected from the raging floods that hit the Southern state this weekend, prompting a state of emergency.

"I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time," Swift added.

The 26-year-old "You Belong with Me" crooner is known for her impressive charitable contributions.

Earlier this year, she donated $100, 000 to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, which includes a focus on pediatric cancer.
