'HE WAS NOT JUST HIT. HE WAS RUN OVER': Fordham University grad, 21, named victim in Upper West Side hit-and-run
A newly graduated Fordham University student was killed early Saturday in a gruesome hit-and-run wreck on the Upper West Side, officials said.

Noah Goldstein, 21, was identified in an email from school officials as the victim of a horrific 3:30 a.m. crash that made identifying the body an arduous task, according to students.

“It was pretty bad,” said an ABC-TV camerawoman who arrived at the scene about 20 minutes after the fatal wreck. “This guy was not just hit. He was run over.”

An eyewitness said the fleeing car never stopped, and Goldstein never moved after the violent collision. He was crossing Broadway near W. 61st St. when the vehicle plowed into him, cops said.

“We were very shocked,” said friend and former classmate Dorian Russell, 20. “Noah just graduated in May ... such a fun-loving guy, a really nice guy. Noah was never in a negative mood, and lifted the spirits of everyone around.”

Set designer Goldstein, of San Jose, Calif., attended the Fordham College/Lincoln Center Theater Department. News of his death left friends and colleagues reeling Saturday.

“Oh my God, oh my God,” said Kori Rushton, producing artistic director for the IRT Theater. “He just emailed me yesterday.”

Police sources said the victim was crossing near the crosswalk but not inside it. It was not immediately disclosed if he was crossing with or against the light.

Cops were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help identify the hit-and-run driver’s vehicle.

“There's cameras everywhere here,” said one investigator at the scene. “We'll catch the person.”

The death marked the fourth fatal hit-and-run in eight days across the five boroughs, according to police.

On Thursday, a 51-year-old man was killed after he was struck by two cars on the Whitestone Expressway in Queens, cops said. One of the vehicles fled the scene and has yet to be located.

Four days earlier, 62-year-old Sharon Smith was killed in the Bronx after she was struck by an SUV as she crossed East Gun Hill Road, cops said. Cops were still looking for the SUV on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Giovanni Nin, 26, was struck and killed by a car that kept on going as he rode his bike to his girlfriend’s house in between shifts. Nin was left dying on the asphalt on East Tremont Ave. about 12:40 a.m.

The motorist who killed him has not been caught, cops said.
