Top 15 iOS 8 Hidden Features

iOS 8 is the latest update for iDevices. It comes with great new features. Here are top 15 iOS8 hidden features.

1. By-App Battery Usage
It tells about the battery consumption of each application. Go to Settings>General>Usage>Battery Usage.


2. Flyover Tours In Maps
This feature only supports selected number of locations. You can take the flyover tour by clicking the 'start' button in app.

3. Quick Reply

With this feature you can reply or respond to notifications without going into app. Simply swipe downwards on a notification and start responding.


4. Quick Type

iOS 8 will gradually learn the phrases you write and their typing order also. You can deactivate it by toggling off Predictive.


5. Third Party Keyboards

You can add many available third party keyboards in iOS 8, if you do not want to use the Apple's native keyboard.


6. Notification centre Widgets

You can add widgets by app that supports it by clicking on Edit.

7. Siri's Shazam Integration

It helps you to identify the song by asking Siri "What song is this" or "What's that song playing" and Siri will recognize that song and gives you the details if that.


8. Siri's Speed Bump

It show you the text version of what you speak.


9. Hey Siri

You can speak to Siri without pressing the home button by saying 'Hey Siri' when connected to power.


10. Voice/Video in Messages

Users can send video and voices within messages conversation.


11. Self Destructing Audio/Video Messages

Go to Settings>Messages and scroll down to Audio Video Messages.

12. Time Lapse Videos

You can now shoot the time lapse videos using the default camera app.


13. Hide Images In Photos App

This is a great feature which helps to secure or hide your photos from those who scroll through your albums.


14. Grayscale mode

It will let your device to a monochrome mode. For this go to Settings> General> Accessibility> Grayscale.
