How to Block Pop-Up Windows On Window 8



Pop-ups are the new windows that block your view of something on your PC. After commercial and advertisements Pop-ups are the most annoying things. They can be blocked on in windows 8 and you can do your work freely.

Method 1:- For blocking Pop-ups in Internet Explorer 10
Step 1:-
Open internet explorer browser in your windows 8.  It can be at the desktop or at the taskbar.


 Step 2:-
On the top right side of the browser there will be a setting button or tab which looks like gear bearing. Just click on it and open it.


Step 3:-
After clicking on setting, click on the internet option which is nearly at the bottom of the box.


Step 4:-
In that box click on the Privacy tab which is on top of the box with other options.


 Step 5:-
In privacy tab check on the "turn on pop-up blocker" by clicking on it. This will turn on the pop-up blocker and Pop-ups will be blocked. 

Right next to this check box there is settings tab through which you can allow some sites to open pop-up windows according to your wish.



Method 2:- For blocking Pop-ups on Mozilla Firefox
Step 1:-
Open Mozilla Firefox browser in your windows 8.  It can be at the desktop or at the taskbar.


 Step 2:-
Click on the Menu button which is at the right side top of the window. It looks like a 3 strips or bars. By clicking on it a drop box will open.


 Step 3:-
In this drop box look for the "Options" tab and click on it.


 Step 4:-
In Options tab click on the Content tab at the top of the box with other options on third number.


 Step 5:-
In Content tab click on "Block Pop-up Windows" and check the box. This will block the Pop-ups.


Right next to this check box there is "Exceptions" tab through which you can allow some sites to open pop-up windows according to your wish.
