Britney Spears trying to avoid former manager from infamous meltdown

Britney Spears trying to avoid former manager from infamous meltdown
Britney Spears’ drug abuse was once so toxic she slept in a parking lot hours after losing custody of her little boys.

New court documents obtained by the Daily News in the ongoing legal battle between Spears and one-time manager Sam Lutfi further detail the pop star’s infamous meltdown eight years ago.

The confirmation of the substance use comes amid Lutfi’s breach of contract suit, which could soon lead the “Womanizer” singer to face off with her former friend in court.

The self-styled manager, who was persistently at Spears’ side during her dark days, is slated to head back to court next week in his mission to get the unpaid commission he has long claimed he’s owed.

In a new motion, Spears’ legal team is hoping to keep the two away from each other on May 2, when Lutfi’s team is expected to take Spears' deposition.

Instead, if Lutfi needs to be present, they're asking he attend via live video and audio feed from a nearby conference room.

The docs filed included a 2015 ruling by the California Court of Appeals, stating the singer was “struggling with drug abuse” when she leaned on Lutfi.

After losing her children and sleeping her troubles away in the parking lot, the documents say the once-troubled singer called Lutfi because “he was one the few people she trusted."

The former manager — who has had three restraining orders placed against him by Spears — has firmly maintained he fought to get Spears clean.

Her parents in turn have pointed the finger at him.

In mom Lynne Spears' tell-all book, "Through the Storm,” she painted Lutfi as a "Svengali," who exploited the singer during her stressful child custody battle, cut her phone lines, disabled her vehicles and ground up pills to place in her food.
