Brooklyn men busted for making $8M worth of fake Apple and Samsung phones

 Authorities busted a trio of Coney Island men on Thursday for counterfeiting over $8 million worth of smartphones, authorities said.

After a search warrant was executed for Phone Traders, located at 2112 Coney Island Ave., police found 9,160 fake Apple and Samsung phones and $59,646 in cash, law enforcement officials said.

Isacc Serieh, Eli Haluf and Yik Leung were arrested after a nine-month investigation involving the NYPD, agents from Homeland Security Investigations and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Serieh, 27, Haluf, 23, and Leung, 24, were charged with trademark counterfeiting.

The goods were being shipped from China to Kennedy Airport with an estimated market value of $8,042,300, authorities said.

Authorities also searched a 2016 Chrysler minivan connected to Phone Traders and a 2015 Honda Accord connected to HQ Wireless Inc., located at 203 Highlawn Ave.

If convicted, they face up to four years in prison.
