"Uptown Girl" Christie Brinkley was not down with "smarmy" Donald Trump's attempts to woo her in the '80s.
The model, 64, told PORTER magazine The Donald once flirtatiously offered up a ride to Aspen, Colo., on his private jet — while he was still married to his first wife, Ivana.
Brinkley recalled a phone call she received at the Plaza Hotel from Trump, who told her that he'd heard she was headed to Aspen and wanted to give her a ride on his plane.
The model — who was dating singer Billy Joel at the time — dismissed Trump's advances to some protest.
"I reply, 'Thank you, but I have already arranged my flights.' 'So cancel them!' was his response and I say, 'No, thank you. I'm going with friends,'" she said.
Brinkley — who started dating Joel in 1983 and married him two years later — said she was well aware Trump was married to Ivana, whom he wed in 1977, and wanted nothing to do with his "chasing skirts."
One of President Trump’s top spokespeople reportedly called him ‘a deplorable’ in private messages
"I knew he was married, and there he was asking me to go on this plane, he was kind of flirty about it. He was out chasing skirts," she said.
The model added that she'd always found the future President "smarmy," and was put off by his constant braggadocious behavior.
"I'm done being discreet. I've had dinner with him. I've always found him smarmy, as in, 'Watch out, part the waves, the rich people are coming, everything is gold, solid 24-carat gold, the best, the greatest, nobody else has more gold on anything in their house than me. Did you bring a brush? Let's gold-leaf it!" she said.
Trump's attempts to get Brinkley to Aspen may have failed, but the city would later serve as a turning point for his marriage to Ivana; in 1990, she and Trump's then-mistress Marla Maples had a tense confrontation on the ski slopes.
The explosive fight made headlines and the cat was out of the bag on Trump's years-long affair with Maples — an affair he openly admitted in a 1994 interview that resurfaced in 2016.
